I have a policy to never touch someone else's props. It's a theatre adage I learned doing Spider's Web, which integrated me into the Linkville Playhouse. This is true in all facets of life, as I've discovered by making errors in judgment. I touched someone else's prop yesterday, and I almost burst into flames. Thankfully, the heat setting had been low, but I got a small sting, and now I will adhere to this policy like a fly adheres to flypaper, except they die, and I live. I like being alive, and not burnt to death, although it reminds me of another adage what goes, "Build a man a fire, keep him warm for a while. Light a man on fire, and you keep him warm for the rest of his life." Happy hunting!
